PROGRAMME SUPPORT MANAGEMENT (PSM)
The
purpose of PSM is to build a vibrant and sustainable
transformative feminist organisation capable of maintaining
future activities at all levels. Hence, the sub-programme will
facilitate increasing the capacity of the Organisation to
innovatively and efficiently enhance the development, delivery
and sustainability of its programmes and the organisation
(including the capacity and resource base) so as to achieve the
social transformation with gender equality and equity, and to
consolidate and manage TGNP growth as a critical resource for
transformative feminist movement building in Tanzania, Africa
and beyond.
Main
purposes:
1. “To
provide conceptual leadership and strategic direction for
effective and sustainable realisation of the TGNP mission”
core outputs
under this purpose
are:
o Programme
strategies are effectively managed in a participatory, focused
and efficient manner;
o A
strong organisational base and strategic direction provided to
sustain current and future programme's activities at all
levels;
o Capacity
to coordinate and undertake gender advisory services and related
consultancies is strategically and efficiently consolidated to
effectively respond to TGNP's mission and clients’ needs;
o Enhanced
and functional monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems and tools
institutionalised within the overall programme.
2.
“To consolidate and manage TGNP'S growth as a
critical resource for transformative feminist movement building”
Core outputs under this
sub-programme’s purpose are:
o
Organisational development processes consolidated
for enhanced and sustainable growth and impact;
o The
development of an increasingly sustainable independent resource
base, however small at the beginning;
o The
functioning of GTI as a semi-autonomous entity
institutionalised.
PSM
Activities
· Strengthen
strategies for reviewing TGNP carrying capacity and
establishment to improve human resources management
· Streamline
management systems for effective management of assets,
procurement of goods and services and other utilities
· Periodic
review of TGNP functions and its external personal relations
with its key stakeholders and beneficiaries
· Develop
strategies for expanding TGNP resource base for sustainability
(Movement and Endowment Funds)
· Strengthen
systems and tools that utilise effective decentralised
management of budgetary tracking combining inputs-outputs
monitoring
· Enhance
TGNP's ability to monitor, track, document and share substantive
results it has achieved
· Review
and develop strategies that recognise, capture and value
recognising Members, staff and partners contributions to the
well being of TGNP
· Develop
strategies for the establishment of autonomous Women Movement
Fund and strengthening of the Endowment Fund for the
sustainability of the organisation
· Strengthening
staff capacities through short and long-term training
· Strengthen
and implement fund raising strategies
· Coordinate
gender and advisory services
· Develop
systems and mechanism to support the backstopping activities of
Gender Advisory Services
· Expand
the gender and advisory services resource base to match with the
growing demands and mandate of TGNP
· Periodic
review of M&E systems and tools for enhanced organisation’s
effectiveness, impact and learning
· Develop
and institutionalise systems and tools that allow coordination
and monitoring of programme's activities
· Provide
effective support and coordinate programme’s cycle management
· Facilitate
and support timely generation of narrative reports including
financial accounts and statutory
reports
